From just down the hills of Cuilco in Huehuetenango comes this lot from Samuel Barrios, who looks after Finca El Matasano and Finca Buena Vista.

Bright notes of orange, toffee and crisp green apple shine through, with gentle sweetness and a soft, lively acidity. Samuel grows Caturra and Bourbon alongside some hybrids, all while caring for the surrounding native forest.

It’s a coffee that’s vibrant, honest, and full of character from the hillside it comes from.
