A truly remarkable farmer with a passion as vibrant as his coffee. Always on the lookout for new ideas and advice, he’s dedicated to enhancing the quality of his crops. José keeps his coffee trees in top shape, carefully pruning them to ensure they flourish. He measures his fermentation process to find the perfect balance for each batch, achieving a carefully procured complexity of flavour.

Back in 2014, José started with a modest 4×8 drying facility. Due to his hard work and the extra income from producing specialty coffee, he has been able to expand his drying patios and upgrade his infrastructure. With a fresh perspective and newfound appreciation for coffee, José now approaches every step of the process with meticulous care and enthusiasm.

Reuben Hills was established in 2012 as a boutique micro roastery based in Surry Hills NSW. They travel to coffee producing countries around the world meeting farmers, cupping their coffees and selecting beans to showcase to Australian customers.

As a small business, they pride themselves on supporting coffee producers, ensuring a more sustainable income and lifestyle for their families and communities.
