Cafundó is a beautiful farm located in Piatã, in Bahia's renowned Chapada Diamantina region. It is owned and run by husband-and-wife team Pedro Santana and Delzute Araujo Mesquita, who moved to the area in 1989 in search of a very different life.

Before coffee, Pedro lived and worked in São Paulo, navigating the demands of a career in banking. Together, he and Delzute eventually decided to leave the pace and pressure of city life behind and head for the mountains of Bahia.

Drawn by Piatã's exceptional conditions for coffee cultivation, they established their farm and began growing coffee. They named it Cafundó, a Portuguese expression meaning somewhere very, very far away, a fitting reflection of both its remote location and the distance it represents from their former life.

Today, Cafundó reflects the choice Pedro and Delzute made more than three decades ago: to exchange the bustle of the city for a slower life, shaped by the rhythms of the land and the pursuit of exceptional coffee.
